Our Practice

Dr.Vincent Brett/ Dr.Aideen Brides took over from Dr.Sheelagh Prosser in 2015. The practice was originally started by a husband and wife team of Dr. Marian Carragher and Dr. Jack Carragher in their house on the North Road, Monaghan. It was then passed to Dr. Sheelagh Prosser who moved it to its current location in Flemings (Super-Valu) carpark beside Dolans pharmacy.

We are supported by two nurses, Yvonne Keenan and Pauline Fowler, three receptionists Emma Mc Chesney, Anne Hatzer and Lucille Hughes and our practice manager Laura Hughes.

We are delighted to be a Training Practice with the North East Specialist GP Training Scheme.

MEET OUR DOCTORS

DR VINCENT BRETTMICGP, MRCPI, DME
Studied Medicine in NUIG, completed MRCPI. He then completed the Donegal GP Training Scheme and achieved MICGP in 2013. He has a Diploma in Medicine for the Elderly (DME). He has a specialist interest in minor surgery and completed training in this area with the Royal College of GP’s in the UK. He is a member of PCSA (Primary Care Surgical Association of Ireland). He has a special interest in Joint Injection, Toe-nail Removal, Tongue Tie, Cryotherapy and Cautery.
DR AIDEEN BRIDESMICGP, MRCPI, Diploma in Womens health
Graduated with First Class Honours from NUIG Medicine. Achieved MRCPI in 2010. Completed Donegal GP Specialist Training Scheme, achieving MICGP in 2015. Has a Diploma in Women’s Health (DRCOG). Examiner for Irish College of GP’s, LARC Tutor and tutor in contraception. GP Trainer with the North East Specialist Training Scheme. Special Interest in Women’s Health, Mirena, Implanon Insertion/Removal, Menopause, Dermatology and Aesthetics, as well as Medical Education.
