Anti Wrinkle Treatments and Dermal Fillers

Dr Brides graduated with a first class honours degree in Medicine from NUI Galway. She holds a number of post graduate qualifications. She is a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Ireland and has attended specialist courses in the area of Dermatology, including studying at Harley Street. She studied medical aesthetics in the UK.

She is a member of the ACE (Aesthetics Complications Expert) Group, and regularly attends courses both in person and online.

Dr. Brides offers an honest approach and will only treat if morally and ethically appropriate. A free consultation prior to procedure is encouraged.

ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS

Botulinum Toxin type A is used to correct the lines caused by repeated facial expressions, such as frowning and smiling, that occur over time and become permanent. These are called dynamic lines.

We can treat 3 areas- the glabellar/frown lines, the forehead/ horizontal lines, and the lines at the side of the eyes/ crows feet.

Botulinum injections take between 4 days and 2 weeks to take effect and its effects can last from 3 to 6 months.

We recommend that you avoid touching the area, drinking alcohol, lying flat, exercising excessively, or strong sunlight for 6 hours after the procedure as anything which causes the blood supply to the area to increase, can result in dispersion of the Botulinum injection and reduced effects of the procedure.

Facials and long flights are not recommended for 24hrs after a procedure.

DERMAL FILLERS

Fillers are used in multiple areas of the face to restore lost volume. The type of filler chosen is very specific to the area being treated. Often a combination of both filler and botulinum are used to achieve the desired result in a given area.

All procedures are offered in our newly renovated medical premises. Clients are encouraged to return for follow up.
